Position Summary Information

Job Description

Full-Time, Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology & Health Services beginning August 2018. Twenty-five percent of the position will entail serving as the Director of the James F. Drane Bioethics Institute. The remaining time will entail developing and teaching a bioethics course as well as teaching courses in human anatomy and physiology or microbiology.

Required Qualifications

Formal education and/or experience in bioethics and either a Ph.D. in the biological sciences or MD or DO degree. Ability to contribute to the Department in the areas of teaching, research and service. At least two years of undergraduate teaching experience or equivalent and evidence of teaching effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

Individuals with a research and publication record preferred.
