Job Description

The School of Business at Edinboro University seeks a full-time tenure-track, Accounting/Finance, open rank faculty member, beginning January or August 2018.

The School of Business offers concentrations in accounting, forensic accounting and fraud examination, comprehensive business administration, international business, finance, marketing, and personal financial planning with aspirations to begin a MBA program in the near future. The Business programs are accredited by ACBSP. Our mission focuses on a commitment to student opportunity, quality teaching and quality student advisement, whether the student participates in our programs on main campus, at a regional campus or online.

Responsibilities
Required Qualifications

The School of Business seeks candidates whose teaching, service, and research has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to providing high quality undergraduate and graduate programming in a diverse and inclusive environment. Ph.D. or DBA in a business-related field from a regionally accredited institution (ACBSP or AACSB accredited institutions preferred) with ability and qualifications to teach in one or more business fields under ACBSP standards is required. Degree and research must be sufficient to maintain academic qualification (AQ) based on ACBSP and School of Business standards. ABD candidates will be considered so long as they have reasonable expectation of degree completion by semester start date. Teach courses in accounting and finance and other courses consistent with their experience and background at the graduate and undergraduate level with the ability to teach in the areas taught in the MBA program a plus. Multiple positions are being sought in different disciplines, and one faculty will provide leadership in a new Graduate Business Studies Department. Teaching or equivalent professional work experience expected. Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations.

Preferred Qualifications

Evidence of refereed publications, professional work experience, and aspirations to take a leadership role in the Department are a plus.

Specific Duties

This position will be a primary instructor in a proposed MBA program at Edinboro University and teach courses specific to the individual’s discipline at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
