Position Summary Information

Job Description

Two (2) full-time, tenure track, Assistant Professor positions in the Department of Social Work, beginning August 18, 2018. Teaching assignment will be across the curriculum primarily in the MSW program. The BSW and MSW programs are both accredited by the CSWE.

Responsibilities
Required Qualifications

MSW, two years post MSW practice experience, and an earned doctorate in Social Work or closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to effectively teach graduate and undergraduate classes in social work via face-to-face and online methods of delivery; a beginning record of scholarship; ability to work with internship agencies and field instructors, and the ability to contribute through service to the department, university, and profession; and trauma-based practice experience preferred.

Teaching experience working with diverse student populations.

Specific Duties

Course(s) to be taught: All areas of foundation and concentration expertise are needed including foundation and advanced practice, policy, research, human behavior and the social environment, mental health practice, and addictions treatment.
